The Cuisinart Finger Waffle Maker DIP8U has six different browning settings. Very simply 1 and 2 are light brown, 3 and 4 medium brown and 5 and 6 dark brown. When the waffle maker gets up to temperature the green light comes on and the waffle maker bleeps. Then all you have to do is pour in the batter and close the waffle maker and the green light goes off. The Cuisinart Finger Waffle Maker has an automatic safety latch that engages as soon as you close the lid. The cooking time depends upon the browning setting that you have selected, but at the most it should be five minutes. When the waffles are ready the green light comes back on again and the waffle maker will bleep again. The waffle maker's housing is cool to the touch and safe.

Dipping Station?

The dipping station which is included with the Cuisinart Finger Waffle Maker is simply three removable dipping bowls. The idea is that you fill the dipping bowls with jam, syrup, sauce or whatever you want, then heat them in a microwave before serving with the waffles. This is excellent for parties.
