What Does It Do?

The FOE840 Optical Amplifer will boost optical (Fibre Optic/Toslink) signals. These are usually sound out signals from DVD and or CD Players linked to an amp. The Hama Optical Amplier is particulary useful for set ups with plants with very long transmission lengths, bending radii or when using several Optical fragment selectors and transition/extension adapters

How does It Work?

It boosts an optical signal so it can pass cleanly. It has two standard Toslink sockets, one in and one out. It need to be plugged into the mains, the power supply is included although it's not pictured.
