With the inclusion of closer matched drivers this means that you get an enlarged soundstage because the driver tolerances are closer. What About The Sound? Grado have worked hard to optimize the tonal quality of the SR-225 by using dynamic transducers in an open-air configuration - this means that the ear cups are open-backed.
