Does It Do?
The GrandTec Grand X Guard is a PCI Card for taking composite video (usually from a security camera) and displaying on a PC screen or recording to a PC hard drive. There are connections for 1 to 4 camera`s. The system uses motion detection technology and Microsoft video compression. The GrandTec Grand X Guard PCI Card comes with software that can configure the recording of images onto the PC hard drive. You can even set things up so that the system begins recording only when motion is detected. How Does It Work? The GrandTec Grand X Guard PCI card is fitting into a spare PCI slot in your PC. You can then connect up to four cameras to the PC and using the supplied software view the camera output on the PC screen and/or record to the PC hard drive. You do not have to use all the camera inputs, but if you do not use any you need to disable them in the software so that they do not effect the ports you are using. Why Would I Want This? Great for catching thieves, checking on children, home or business security etc. Guarantee One year manufacturer's guarantee. |
