With this Hama USB Firewire DV Kit PCI Card you can upgrade your Windows computer so you can use have super high speed Firewire (up to 400 Mbps). Why Would I Want This? You would want this because it gives you three independent Firewire connections, one internal and two external. The Hama DV Kit is plug and play and is fully Firewire (IEEE 1394) and i-LINK compatible. It works with any Windows computer which has a Windows 98SE and later operating system - including 98SE, ME, 2000 and Windows XP. All this is especially useful for digital camcorder owners. Many digital camcorders use Firewire connections and leads to transfer images from camera to PC. The DV Kit can also be used with firewire scanners, printers, external drives and CD or DVD recorders. If you are lucky enough to have several Firewire equipped devices you can daisy chain them through the DV Kit. You can have up to 63 different devices connected. Anything Else? Every Hama DV Kit comes with a free copy of the brilliant Ulead DVD Movie Factory 3.0 SE software. This is a wonderful piece of software that allows you to edit, copy, title and do effects on moving images. You can also download updates and extensions from the Ulead web site.
