So, What's Good? The KitchenAid Artisan Espresso Coffee Machine is a design classic just like the KitchenAid mixer range and the KitchenAid Artisan Toasters. The KitchenAid Artisan Espresso machine will do all the usual coffee machine things. It will produce excellent espresso - it has a 15 bar pump pressure which is the perfect pressure for a domestic machine. It will also manage Cappuccino with its side milk frothing nozzle. The real difference between the KitchenAid Artisan Espresso machine and normal espresso machines is in it's fantastic build quality. It is a real heavy weight at almost 12kg - this is because the Artisan Espresso machine is constructed from cast metal, this makes the body enormously strong and robust. The build quality of this machine is incredible. The components that make up the KitchenAid Artisan Espresso machine are every bit as good as the body. The Artisan has twin boilers that work independently. These twin boilers give constant performance, which means that there is no delay between brewing and frothing. The Kitchen Artisan Espresso machine's frothing arm rotates for ease of use and the steam nozzle is detachable. Inside the machine the filter basket is stainless steel and the professional standard filter holder can take ground coffee or pods. The brass brew group is chrome plated. There is a solenoid valve to prevent dripping after brewing. Also the drip tray, which is also made of stainless steel even has an indicator to tell you when it's full. There are two gauges one for espresso and one for steam. The water tank is large (2 litres) and easily removable for easy filling. The drip tray is easily removable for cleaning. While a lot of machines have a warming tray the stainless steel warming tray on the KitchenAid Espresso has enough room for six espresso cups. The tray is positioned on top of the machine. This really does help the coffee to taste better - if you don't believe us try drinking hot coffee from a cold cup. Anything Else? It's a fairly large machine measuring dimensions: 40cm high, 32cm deep and 31cm wide. Weight is 11.9kg. See also the matching KitchenAid Burr Grinders (for grinding your coffee beans with). Guarantee Two year manufacturer's guarantee (for domestic use). Specifications
