The KitchenAid Artisan Burr Grinder coffee grinder is a very special machine and some thing of a design classic just like the KitchenAid mixer range, the KitchenAid Artisan Toaster and the KitchenAid Artisan Espresso machines.

The KitchenAid Artisan Burr Grinder is not like an ordinary coffee grinder. To begin with it has burrs and not blades. Slashing at the coffee beans with blades does not enhance the taste. The KitchenAid Artisan Burr Coffee Grinder has 15 grind levels. This means you can experiment but there should be a grind level to suit every taste and type of coffee, from espresso to cafetiere.

The KitchenAid Burr Coffee grinder also has a very low speed (450RPM). This low speed will preserve the flavour of the coffee - it does this by reducing friction heat and static electricity.

The smooth, rounded design and removable, dishwasher-safe glass hoppers make it easy to clean. Includes Burr Cleaning Brush and Coffee Scoop.

Another difference between the KitchenAid Artisan Burr Coffee grinder and a normal coffee grinder is in it's fantastic build quality. It is a real heavy weight at 4.5kg - this is because the Artisan Burr Coffee grinder is constructed from cast metal, this makes the body enormously strong and robust. The build quality of this machine is incredible.

The accessories included as also high quality. The smooth, rounded design and removable, dishwasher safe glass hoppers are easy to clean and hold up to 200g of coffee beans. Also included are a Burr Cleaning Brush and a Coffee Scoop.

Colours

At the moment there are four colours available. Grey, Red, Black and Almond Cream - these match the colours of the four KitchenAid Artisan Espresso Coffee Machines.
