How Does It Work?

A Wireless Access Point is a device that forms a link between PCs equipped with a wireless PCI card or PCMCIA adapter and a wired network. It allows connection between machines on a wired and wireless network. Multiple Wireless Access Points also allow different wireless networks to communicate via a wired backbone.

Wireless Access Points support simultaneous connection between multiple wireless stations, i.e. more than one PC/laptop can talk to the Wireless Access Point at a time.
