Telephone Headset? The Plantronics CS60 is a great DECT cordless telephone headset - designed to work with just about any common office telephone. The CS60 has a load of features and gives total freedom of movement. With the CS60 you can move freely up to 100m away from the base. Range is much better than the average DECT handset and Plantronics have ensured this headset gives excellent clarity. How Does It Work? The Plantronics CS60 can be charged up on its base (see image opposite). The CS60 charges up very rapidly, it can be used after only one hour of charging and three hours of charging gives 9 hours of talk time. The base needs to be connected to a normal phone. What you do is plug the CS60 base into the phone's handset port and then plug the handset into the Plantronics's base. When the phone rings or when you want to make a call you lift the handset and the CS60 headset is connected. If you want to use the headset while away from your desk you could use the included HL10 handset lifter to control the handset. The HL10 can be used in conjunctions the the Plantronics CS60 Intellistand feature. If the headset is removed from the base station and Intellistand is enabled the HL10 Handset Lifter automatically lifts and replaces the handset at the beginning and end of calls. What About Comfort? The Plantronics CS60 is designed to be
worn all day. The headset is light weight and comfortable. CS60 headset can be
converted into 3 styles: over the ear, headband and, unique to Plantronics, behind
the neck. What About the Microphone? The Plantronics has the option of a noise-cancelling microphone, however unless you work in a call centre or a very noisy office you do not need this. The problem with noise canceling in a quite environment is that it tends to cut off what sound there is - which in a quiet place is your voice. |
What About Control? The Plantronics CS60 has simple controls mounted on the headset for headphone volume, microphone volume and tone. You can also mute the microphone while on a call (so that the person on the other end can't hear you).
