With the Philex Ranger 3 Programmable Timer Module you can make lights and other appliances come on while you aren't home. Anyone thinking about breaking into your home at night will see lights going on and off as if someone is home. It works with both light switches and sockets. It will work with both fluorescent lights and lights fitted with dimmer switches. How Does It Connect? The Philex Ranger 3 comes with step by step instructions. The Philex Ranger 3 unit is attached to an extendable bracket - so it can be attached to single light switches, single plug sockets or double plug sockets. The Ranger 3 fits either to the left or right. After switching off the power you simply connect the wires from the Ranger 3 unit, the live wire goes to the live wire input and the switching wire goes to the switch output. Any electrician or competent DIY person will be able to manage this. If you are neither of these get someone else who is qualified to fit it for you - do not take risks with electricity! Programmable Functions There is a programmable random feature which turns the timer on and off at random intervals for random amounts of time. Alternatively you can program up to seven on and off programs a day at times of your choosing. The Philex Ranger 3 is easy to program and has up to 98 settings. There is a simple Summer-time Winter-time setting to easily change from GMT to BST. The Ranger 3 also has a countdown function and can be used to control immersion heaters. The timer function is battery operated (1 x AAA - not supplied). |
