Is It?
The SLx8B is a eight way aerial amplifier that is designed to increase and improve TV and FM signals. It also allows you to link more than one TV to a Sky decoder box using cable. Unlike the slightly more basic SLx8 the SLx8B has an integrated digital bypass so it can be used with the SLx Link. This means that you can use the remote control to control a Sky box from other TVs that are linked. How Does It Work? The SLx8B is mains powered. You can connect it to a VCR, satellite receiver, plug your analogue aerial into it or connect to an FM aerial. The SLx8B then enhances any signal passed through it. It has two inputs (one for TV and one for FM) and eight outputs - so you can run eight TVs from it if you wish. Anything Else? It is often used to complement the SLx Link. The SLx8B will not power a masthead amplifier, for that you need a SLx8. If you do use the SLx8B with the SLx Link you will not need the SLx Amplifier By-pass Kit.
