DC to AC Voltage Inverters

A Power inverter can take the output from a 12 Volt or 24 Volt vehicle battery (car, truck, boat, leisure battery etc.) and turn it into mains 220- 240V AC Voltage.

The advantage is to allow you to power a mains appliance using a DC vehicle battery.

Some Power Inverters connect to the battery directly and other power inverters can work by plugging into an in-car cigarette lighter, some power inverters can connect to either. Power Inverters have a 3 pin UK power socket or universal socket that can take a UK three pin plug and they are used for such things as camping, caravanning and boats. They are also useful for powering power tools where there is no mains power available. Different power inverters have different power outputs (measured in Watts). You need a power inverter with enough wattage output to power the device you want to use.
