You might be thinking if I have USB why do I need to bother with serial? Yet if you are like half of the people who work here you have an old digital camera, a PDA. mobile phone or other device that only supports a serial connection. This means a lot of messing around at the back of your PC and may cause you to have to unplug and plug back in a printer.

How Does It Work?
The IXOS XUC01 USB to serial adapter is very simple. Plug the serial end into the device you wish to connect, plug the USB plug into your computer's USB port and off you go. All Windows operating systems are supported as well as Mac OS 8.6 and above. There is an installation CD included. The USB to serial adapter is complaint to USB 1.1 standards and supports a data transfer rate of over 500kbps. There is a 96 byte buffer to aid the data flow and handshake mode, remote wake up and power management is automatic. The USB serial adapter is bus powered so there's no need for an external power supply.

The connections are 24kt hard gold plated for best connection and good data transfer. The IXOS XUC01 USB serial adapter can be used with many different devices including digital cameras, PDAs, mobile phones, modems, ISDN terminal adapters etc. The USB serial adapter is compatible with Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, ME and XP. Mac OS 8.6 and above.
