Processing Food - Yuck!

The purists believe that food should be lovingly prepared, that love and care in preparation will translate somehow to taste. Such people are unlikely to buy a food processor, even one as good as the Magimix 5200. That's not to say that you can't prepare great tasting meals with a food processor, but as it will take a small fraction of the time and involve an even smaller fraction of the effort - a purist probably won't see much love in the act.

What's So Special About It?

The Magimix 5200 is built to extremely high standards. The 1100 watt commercial grade induction motor is built to last and built to perform. There is automatic speed control, citrus press, an integrated mini processor, the blades are all Sabatier, the bowls are made from thick strong polycarbonate and there's more peripheral features than you can shake a parsnip at. The 5200 range represents a significant improvement over the old 5100 range.

What's the Difference?

The Magimix 5200 range has a motor more powerful than the old 5100 machines (which previously were the most powerful in the range). The bowls are made of polycarbonate and are much stronger that the bowls that come with the 5100 machines. The discs are also different, they are designed differently and they are reversible so the same disc can do either slicing or grating (not XL model). The XL model has separate discs and a wide feed tube.

Main bowls will hold up to 1.7KG of pastry, 1.3KG of bread dough, 1.4KG of grated, sliced or chopped vegetables or meat, 1.8KG of an 8 egg cake mix 1.8 Litres of liquidising (e.g. a thick soup) and a maximum of 8 eggs whisking. 12 year motor guarantee, other parts guaranteed for 3 years.
