What Is It?
Or why do you need a wireless camera system, well here are a few uses. Cheap and easy security, as a baby minding device or just for the fun of presenting your own TV programme.

How Does It Work?
You have two units a wireless camera which transmits both sound and vision on the 2.4GHz band and a receiver which plugs into the back of a TV or Scart equipped monitor. The camera transmits colour images and sound which is picked up by the receiver and displayed on the TV.

Yes, But How Does It Really Work?
Signals pass through walls, floors and ceilings thanks to the fact that the system uses wideband FM transmissions. This also minimizes interference from other wireless A/V transmitters.

What If I Want To Watch Other Stuff On My TV Too?
The Wand cam will only use one channel so you can flick over to the wireless camera's channel whenever you like. This is a wireless CCTV system but it will just be another channel on your TV.

Can I Add Extra Cameras?
If you can find extra cameras, yes. You can have up to four. Each camera has four possible transmission settings and each receiver has four channel reception. Not only that but the system has a remote control so that you can switch between channels. Extra cameras have now been discontinued by the manufacturer and we are not able to get them anymore..

Anything Else?
The Wand Cam is very flexible. You could, for instance do everything the other way around and connect one camera to several TVs or monitors. This way you could have your own closed circuit TV Station. You could also use two Wand Cams as a short range video phone.

The Wand Cam could also be used as a complete 4 camera security system. One hotel in Kent has four cameras set up around the reception area with the receiver set to cycle between all four cameras in turn (you can set the time spent on each camera autiomatically).

The Wand Cam camera and receiver comes with their own power adapters, a fixing bracket for the camera and a phono to Scart lead. It is not recommended for use outside.
