24-11-2011Changes and Bags
We've had a few changes to the way we do news, our newsletters will keep running (that's what you're reading now), but if you scroll down our home page a bit you'll see a swanky new news feed.
For Christmas we've sourced an excellent range of iPad, Tablet PC, laptop computer and notebook computer bags of all sizes from covers to rucksacks. They are the Aha PC bag range from Hama, very good value, very stylish and we've even done a video for the rucksacks so you can see what one of us (Baldy) looks like.
20-08-2011For Once We Arrive in the Present
We can be a bit slow sometimes here at BestStuff. We are not known as early adopters, we usually prefer to see new products show their worth before we add them to our lists. Now we have an exception.
The BlueLounge MiniDock is a must for any iPhone or iPod owner, it works with the Apple charger and allows you to charge your iPhone or iPod directly from the wall socket. This gets the expensive iPhone off the floor or off the kitchen worktop where the wife of one of our team managed to pour porridge on her phone.
The BlueLounge MiniDock works with all Apple "i" products except the iPad.
20-06-2011New Additions to the BestStuff Range
Perhaps the most important new thing we have is not a product at all. From now on the BestStuff web site can display video content via YouTube, see the Maxview VuQube to take a look at this feature. We'll be adding more video soon, and we'll also begin making our own videos.
While on the subject of the VuQube, this item is a real problem solver for RV and caravan owners who want to watch satellite TV when it's raining cats and dogs outside. the VuCube is a new system to painlessly align to a satellite in a way that is unaffected by wind and by children and dogs who are famous for bumping into the free-standing satellite dish you've spent twenty minutes minutely lining up.
Even if it does rain a lot, summers can be hot, for a while at least, and this is the prime animal clipping season. You can cool down the panting dog with our range of pet clippers. In particular we have a rather special offer on the Andis AGC Super 2 Speed UltraEdge a top of the range animal clipper with a free extra blade.
Browse our site or contact us for more information.
13-05-2011Travel and Holiday Products Back Again
Summer is here again at last - so we have loads of the items you need for that all important trip away. Here's a small selection:
For anyone planning to go abroad the Power Bright WT-141 Universal Plug Adapter is back in stock again. In one simple and portable product you get adapters for more than 150 countries!
We did so well with the excellent Hama In-car DVD Player Bag last year. It is a protective bag for a small portable DVD Player. It holds the
DVD Player itself and up to 4 DVDs can be stored in the other pocket along with
power supply, headphones etc. A big help with those long boring car journeys.
Once you arrive at your destination you need to look good, otherwise you may not impress or pull. The Wahl All In One
Total Grooming Kit is a rechargeable hair, beard and body hair trimmer
that can be either used cordlessly or plugged directly into the mains. Essential for all, but especially for the bearded man.
07-04-2011New Products
With the spring weather having arrived at last, we've been thinking about our outdoors products. For the serious camera buff we've teamed up with Hama to offer what we feel sure is the best camera and gear bag on the market at an exceptional low price. The
Hama Daytour 230
at only £84.99. I've just tried to find it anywhere on the net for a lower price and I couldn't.
A really popular product for us last Spring and Summer was another offering from Hama - the two Portable DVD player cases. Not only do they keep the DVD player and DVDs safe, but they can also come with all the necessary straps to hold the Portable DVD Player onto the back of the car's front seats. Vital for amusing back seat passengers on the long car ride to the seaside. The Hama DVD Player Cases come in two sizes
large
and
small

01-02-2011February Offers From BestStuff
February sees us having something of a clear out here at BestStuff.
So we have the The Philex Wand Cam Mini Wireless Camera System reduced from £34.99 to £14.99. Some people like to use this to check on their young children, but we use it at parties for charades on the TV.
The Tasco Cool FX Binoculars which I last used to great effect at a U2 concert are now down all the way to £4.99. It was like Bono was invading my space.
Also on this month's reduced list is the Konig Webcam 75. A weird looking web cam with night vision and a built in microphone. Half price at £9.99.
Remember our standard UK delivery is free.
There are plenty of other great offers scattered around the site, so get them while they're hot!
11-01-2011No VAT Rise Until February
As a part of our comittment to customer service BestStuff has decided that the best thing we can do for our customer this January is to absorb the recent rise in VAT. Obviously we cannot do that for long, but we promise that there will be no price rises during the month of January.
18-12-2010Weather
The weather tends to be a British obsession at the best of times. Weather conditions in December are affecting both domestic and international deliveries and all of our carriers are working to clear their back logs. If your order is being delivered via a trackable delivery method, you will find a tracking identification number on your order confirmation. You can track your parcel directly by following the link in your confirmationa of despatch email.
If you live in Scotland the problem is worse, none of our carriers are even accepting parcels for delivery to Scotland at the moment.
17-11-2010A new LNB can boost your signal
A new LNB can boost your signal
Many of us may be unimpressed with the picture quality of our TV; it may be fuzzy, out of focus or dull. The immediate reaction would be to consider upgrading the television, however there is a much cheaper and potentially much more beneficial alternative. Bad picture quality can often be caused by low signal or poor quality signal from TV aerials. LNBs are central to the quality of signal that our satellites receive, and BestStuff have a wide range of LNBs that can either replace a damaged LNB or upgrade a poor quality one.
LNBs are the central part of the dish that is used to pick up the satellite signal, if this part is damaged or of low quality, it can have a significantly detrimental effect on the quality produced by the dish. Luckily quality LNBs can be affordable when sourced from BestStuff, and are great signal boosters. One of the best sellers is the HQ TWIN LNB, it can be used to provide signal for receivers that require two signals, often those that include a hard disk recorder, such as a Sky+ box. The HQ TWIN LNB is n extremely high standard product that can even improve on the quality of an original LNB.
For those with systems that require and can utilise four different signals, then the UNIVERSAL QUAD LNB, is a great answer, even more so, considering that it is currently 13% off at BestStuff.
For those where signal and picture quality is an absolute must, then the INVERTO SINGLE LNB - BLACK ECO ULTA LOW NOISE 40MM LNB, is the perfect solution. The Black Eco is as ultra low noise and low interference LNB that is used to produce the absolute maximum in picture quality, and is also extremely economically sound, thanks to very low power consumption.

20-10-2010Protect Your Entertainment This Winter
With the evenings drawing in, days getting shorter, and the weather set to become much, much colder, the TV is likely to once again be an essential companion through these trying winter months.
As the rain, snow and sleet falls, the television is the ideal form of entertainment as it is far more enticing to stay indoors this time of year. With Christmas around the corner too, the television is set likely to get more than its fair share of use. Though the weather means it is the ideal time of year to watch TV, it also a bad time for TV aerials and satellite dishes, with conditions meaning you’re liable to loose the signal completely or receive a poor quality signal. No one wants the climax of the X Factor or the football to be ruined by signal problems.
Now is the perfect time to plan and prevent against this by visiting BestStuff.co.uk and purchasing protection for your TV signal or, sourcing the best equipment available to upgrade your existing TV aerial equipment. BestStuff has a range of indoor aerials, which are ideal for those who simply wish to safeguard their viewing with a signal upgrade. For those just looking for a boost, there is also large range of aerial amplifiers. The large majority of aerials can receive digital signals and as a result are completely compatible with Freeview. This brings the added benefit of ensuring you are ready for the digital switch over when it happens in your area.
For those of you in poor signal areas, TV aerials such as the Konig UHF51 TV Aerial are perfect for rooftops, or those with strong enough signal for indoor aerials a stylish model such as the
The Skytronic DA-1000 is more than suitable. Though a majority of the population still receive their TV signal through traditional aerials, a large and growing section rely on satellites. Though often providing a better service, satellites are also more at risk of being subject to weather issues. However BestStuff also has the solution for preventing this, thanks to the Para Protection System Satellite Umbrella. Developed in Norway, the Para Protection system can protect your satellite aerial from any assault of rain, sleet or snow, ensuring your TV signal remains string and constant whatever the weather.
