This IXOS XHW406 is not like an ordinary 1 phono to 1 phono lead. The IXOS XHW406 is specially designed to be used with subwoofers. The XHW406 connects a subwoofer to an amplifier or AV amplifier. The IXOS XHV406 has a patented Gamma Geometry feature. This optimized the XHV406 lead for the transmission of bass sound and reduces noise while improving sound. The Gamma Geometry lead construction gives significant improvement over both conventional and twisted pair leads The IXOS XHW406 has ultra low signal resistance, which is another feature designed to improve bass performance. The XHW406 is constructed of high grade oxygen free copper conductors and has gold plated hard enamel phono plugs to maximise signal transfer. For the longer length IXOS have rebadged this lead as the XHK506.

It is an ideal first upgrade cable made to a very high standard. The IXOS XFA01 has PC-OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) conductors and gold plated phono (RCA) plugs. Like all good subwoofer leads the IXOS XF01 is designed for maximum bass response.
