Power Inversion? This Sun-300 300 Watt Soft Start Power Inverter connects to a 24 Volt van, truck or boat battery and inverts the power to provide mains electricity. The Sun-300 24V 300 Watt power inverter connects either directly to the car or boat battery with the supplied jumper leads or to an in-car cigarette lighter. The Sun-300 24 Volt 300W Power Inverter has a universal power socket that can take UK and Euro plugs, and has a continuous maximum power output of 300 Watts. To get the full 300 Watts of power output the power inverter needs to be connected directly to the battery. Connected via the cigarette lighter the maximum output will be about 150 Watts. The initial start up rating is 600W this accounts for the startup surge that you get with many appliances. What Can I Use It with? The power source must be a 24 Volt battery! Everything with a rating of 300W or below. This would include most portable TVs, notebook computers, battery chargers, video cameras, portable hi-fis, electric shavers etc. This is a modified sine wave inverter, so is ideal for everything except inductive loads (such as fluorescent lighting), for these it would be best to use a pure sine wave inverter. The Sun-300 24V 300 Watt Soft Start Power Inverter stabilized output voltage and overload protection. It also has a low voltage alarm and low voltage cut out - this stops you from flattening the vehicle battery. The Power inverter is soft start, which protects attached equipment from surge.
