What Does It Do? The TV-620PIP turns any
LCD computer monitor into a TV capable of receiving analogue TV through a built
in tuner or connection to a DVD Player, VCR, Freeview box, games console, Sky
box etc. The TV-620PIP has Picture in Picture. The TV-620PIP is also compatible
with standard monitors, LCD monitors, and projectors up to 1024 x 786 resolution
with 24 bit RGB true colour How Does It Work? The TV-620PIP has inputs for S-Video, VGA, composite video, RF and stereo audio. It connects to the monitor's VGA socket and it also has composite video out and a 3.5mm speaker/headphone socket. You can choose to display analogue TV through the built in tuner or any device connected to the inputs. The TV-620PIP has Picture in Picture (you can display a two channels at once). What's The Point? The price of a LCD monitor is less than a LCD TV. Using the TV-620PIP allows you to get two functions from one screen. Any Really Special Features? The computer does not have to be switched on to use the TV-620PIP. The TV-620PIP features a computer display pass-through, this allows you to switch to the PC input to use your PC without disconnecting the TV-620PIP. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Unusually for a device such as this the remote control is very well designed with lots of useful features such as scan and OSD. There is even a sleep timer. Anything Else? The only thing we don't like is the box itself which is made from low quality molded plastic. It has a cheap and tacky feel. However, once connected it works really well and for us (and probably most other people) that is far more important. |
