What is a Voltage Regulator?

A Voltage Regulator connects to an AC mains supply and outputs a steady DC voltage. They are also sometimes known as Regulated Power Supplies.

Voltage Regulators are usually switchable so that you can adjust the DC output voltage. They output a steady DC voltage that does not vary once set.
