The Wahl Academy Collection cordless hair clippers are very similar to the the top of the range cordless clippers (the Wahl Bellissima). The only thing the Academy Collection lacks from its more expensive stable mate is the Bellissima's power regulator.

Ergonomically designed, the Academy Collection cordless clipper fits very comfortably in the hand. There is a minimum of vibration and the clippers are very quiet.

The Wahl Academy Collection Cordless Clipper has the Wahl Magic Blade set, which is among their most hard wearing of blades. As a cordless clipper the Academy Collection cordless clipper comes with its own charging bay. A full charge will give around 90 minutes of cutting time and there is a LCD scale battery display indicator, so you know how much power you have left. Charging time is 2 hours. Accessories include 6 comb attachments (3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm and 25mm), clipper oil and a cleaning brush. The Wahl Academy Collection cordless clipper comes with the Standard blade set - which is excellent for most hair cutting jobs. For texturisng and razor cut styling jobs there are particular specialist blades (please see opposite). All blades for the Academy Collection are easily changed by snapping them on and off. Hold the clipper with the blade side away from you and press firmly and evenly on the part of the blade you can see. The blade will snap off its mounting. The blade sets and attachment combs for the Wahl Academy Collection Cordless Clipper can also be used with the Wahl Bellissima and Moser Genio Plus cordless clippers.

The Academy Collection also includes the mains powered Wahl Academy Collection Clippers and the cordless Wahl Academy Collection Hair Trimmers.
